Welcome to Diary Manga ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Diary Manga mobile application and web service.
1. Local-First Data Storage
Diary Manga operates on a stateless and local-first architecture:
- Diary Entries & Avatars: Your diary text, mood, character settings, and customized presets are stored directly on your device (using IndexedDB or Apple iCloud Drive Documents).
- No Server Account or Database: We do not operate a user database. We do not store, view, or retain your personal diary entries or generated images on our servers.
2. AI Comic Generation & Third-Party APIs
When you request comic generation:
- Your diary text is sent transiently to our generation gateway and processed by AI models (such as Fal.ai / OpenAI) strictly to generate the storyboard layout and comic panels.
- This data is processed in-memory and is not used to train public AI models or retained beyond the immediate generation request.
3. Advertising & Analytics (Google AdMob)
Diary Manga uses Google AdMob to serve rewarded advertisements that unlock comic generation features:
- Device Identifiers (IDFA / Advertising ID): On iOS, subject to your explicit permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, AdMob may use device identifiers to provide relevant, personalized ads and track ad impressions.
- Non-Personalized Ads: If you decline tracking permission, non-personalized ads are served.

4. iCloud Synchronization (iOS)
If you enable iCloud synchronization on iOS devices, your diary data is securely stored within your private Apple iCloud container (Ubiquity Container) and synced across your personal Apple devices. We have no access to your iCloud data.
5. Children's Privacy
Diary Manga does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
